Pure, aromatic and long-grain — grown in the fertile Mwea plains for rice meals your family will remember.

Milled with care. Trusted at every table.
Nice Pure Pishori Rice is grown, milled and packed in the heart of Mwea, Kirinyaga — the home of Kenya's most celebrated aromatic rice. Every grain is naturally aged, cleanly milled and quality-checked, so when it hits the pan it delivers the unmistakable Pishori aroma, fluffy separated grains and the pure taste that makes a good pilau unforgettable. We work with Mwea farmers and Nice Rice Millers — the leading private rice miller in the region — so the rice in the pack is genuinely local, traceable and consistent from harvest to harvest.

What is Pishori rice?
Pishori (basmati-type) rice is an aromatic, long-grain rice grown in the Mwea irrigation scheme in Kirinyaga County. It is prized for its natural fragrance, slender grains and clean taste — the rice Kenyans reach for when making pilau.
Is Nice Pure Pishori Rice 100% Mwea rice?
Yes. Nice Pure Pishori Rice is grown, milled and packed in Mwea. Nice Rice Millers, our sister brand, is the leading private miller in the region.
How do I cook it so the grains stay separate?
Rinse until the water runs clear, use about 1.5 cups of liquid per cup of rice, bring to a boil, then cover and simmer on low for 15–18 minutes and rest off the heat for 5 minutes before fluffing.
What pack sizes are available?
